Quick Start a Puppet Environment

Starting up a Puppet Environment is as easy as one, two, three.

Here you go…

First install, if you do not already have one installed, a hypervisor of any sort: VMware Workstation / Player, Oracle VirtualBox, Microsoft Hyper-V, KVM, Xen, etc.

Second install two Ubuntu servers: a master and a client. Download the Ubuntu Server 14.04 LTS ISO.

Third, run the Puppet CLIENT for Ubuntu 14.04 LTS script on the CLIENT, and  run the Puppet MASTER for Ubuntu 14.04 LTS script on the MASTER. You might want to customize them just a little bit to suit your needs.
